Colleen Leafloor - Registered Psychotherapist

Colleen Leafloor is the owner of Briar Psychotherapy and is a Registered Psychotherapist working with both couples and individuals (18+). Colleen's intention is to bring a sense of humanity and comfort to therapy, creating an environment founded on non-judgement, empathy, openness, compassion, and humour. She believes that therapeutic progress is best achieved collaboratively, working together to determine realistic goals that incorporate your own worldview and beliefs.

Colleen favours an integrative approach to psychotherapy, incorporating CBT (e.g., ACT, DBT, CPT), Narrative, EFT, and Psychodynamic methods in her sessions. Her sessions are always client-directed because collaboration and client autonomy are fundamental to her approach. She is passionate about strengthening communication skills, particularly in the context of couple’s therapy, and would welcome the opportunity to support individuals and couples in developing more adaptive methods of communication/conflict resolution.

She hopes to support you in challenging yourself, deepening your discussions, improving your relationships with yourself and others, and achieving your goals all while maintaining an openness to the humour and irony of life and its challenges.

Colleen offers in-person and virtual therapy options for individuals, couples, and families, as well as free consultations.

Bethany Richer

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) CRPO #19591 with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

I have a keen interest in working with adolescents and young adults who have difficulties with sleep, anxiety, bullying, ADHD, and low self-esteem.

I use a mix of modalities to address their unique needs. These include Cognitive Behavioural, Trauma Informed and Mindfulness.

My underlying framework is person-centered, which ensures that clients feel heard and empowered. I aim to help clients explore their experiences, build resilience, and develop meaningful strategies for personal growth and well-being.

In addition, over the last year, I have been a supervised Instructor Therapist in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). I have been working with children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. In this position, I provided individualized interventions in communication, emotional regulation, and social skills. I worked and collaborated with families and clinical teams, which helped build my experience in goal-setting, behavioural planning, and providing support to neurodiverse children in a meaningful way.

I believe in developing relationships with clients through empathy, collaboration, and care by fostering person-centred approaches. Although I will not be offering ABA in my private practice, my experience with it has enhanced my ability to attune to clients' unique needs and to approach clinical work with both structure and compassion.

My services are offered at a rate of $120.00 per full session.

Sliding Fee Scale available.
